Detect the tiniest cracks and gaps in your products with Сòòò½APP's advanced ultrasonic testing services, using soundwaves for accurate reporting of defects, ensuring better product safety. We offer a full suite of UT inspection services for test specimens of virtually any size, across a variety of industries, including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Power Generation.

What is Ultrasonic Testing and why do you Need it?

Ultrasonic testing, also known as ultrasonic NDT (non-destructive testing) or simply UT, is a very powerful non-destructive test method using sound waves to detect cracks and defects in parts and materials. It can also be used to determine a material’s thickness, such as measuring the wall thickness of a pipe.

This method can help locate flaws too tiny to be found by many other NDT methods, by producing images that are more clearly defined and exposing issues that are deeper than surface level. Such sensitivity makes ultrasonic testing highly precise and accurate. It is also a practical and flexible method, with portable testing variants as well as laboratory options depending on your requirements.  When used to assess very thick materials, ultrasound typically requires less exposure – and subsequent risk – than other possible methods such as radiography.

Key Benefits of Our Ultrasonic Testing Services

  • Swift Defect Detection by Experts: Experience efficient ultrasonic testing, utilizing both contact and immersion techniques for unparalleled precision in detecting cracks and defects. Сòòò½APP experts offer in-house, on-site, and field inspections to identify and address potential defects before operational failures occur.
  • Your Partner for Tailored Solutions: For projects of any complexity, our ultrasonic inspection services are customized to fit any test specimen size. With equipment like immersion tanks, turntable immersion systems, and vertical ring rolling immersion systems, we cater to diverse component sizes, ensuring a solution for every project.
  • Highest Standards for Safety and Reliability: We can help you comply with stringent industry standards from organizations like AMS, AWS, ASTM, API, ASME, and more. Ensure your components meet the highest quality and safety benchmarks, so there’s no panic over industry inspections.
  • Cost-effective solutions for Oil & Gas: Benefit from our specialized immersion inspection process, tailored for pipeline girth welds in the Oil & Gas industry. Enhance detection probability, minimizing the risk of substantial repair and recovery costs once the pipeline is in situ.
  • In-Depth Analysis with Advanced Capabilities: Our C-scan ultrasonic inspection offers even more comprehensive imaging for the most thorough understanding of your material’s characteristics. Use the advanced data and detailed analysis to empower your R&D.

Portable Inspection for Large, Irregular, and Immobile Parts

Contact ultrasonic testing is often used in situations where radiographic inspection is not possible because it requires access to only one side of the test specimen. Our portable contact ultrasonic testing equipment and access to diverse methods allow inspection of parts that are awkwardly shaped or cannot be easily transported.

Pinpoint Smaller Defects

Detect smaller defects like cracking and porosity with exceptional accuracy with our immersion ultrasonic testing (IUT) service. This comprehensive laboratory-based inspection provides better sound travel through submersion, ensuring accurate reporting of sub-surface irregularities and flaws. It supports a broad range of requirements applicable to any wall thickness and material.
